How to Spot a Victorian Home
1. Asymmetrical facade
2. Steeply pitched roof
3. Walls with multiple colors and textures (no smooth walls)
4. Decorative detailing, like spindle work
5. Porch
Find the most Victorians in areas like Golden Hill, Sherman Heights, National City, Coronado, and Bankers Hill, although many of those have been turned into offices. Since these homes aren not on the market often, one option is to purchase a fixer-upper in an area like Sherman Heights or National City.
